Associate professor of Plant Pathology at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). She was visiting researcher at the Horticultural Research Institute, East Malling (UK) in 1995, at the CNR Institute of Plant Virology (IVV) (now Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection), Turin from 1997 to 1999 and at the Instituto de Biologia Molecular y Celular de Plantas (IBMCP, CSIC-UPV), Valencia, Spain, in 2002. She has many years of expertise in Plant virology contributing to the identification and characterization of several plant viruses and viroids. She is member of the Italian Phytopatological Society (SIPAV), Italian Society for Virology (SIV) and International Organization of Citrus Virologist (IOCV)
