Department of Biology

Associate Professor in Ecology at University of Naples Federico II and visiting scientist at Bulgarian Academy of Science. In 2001 she received a PhD in Terrestrial Ecology, from 2007 to 2019 she was researcher at the Department of Biology, University of Naples Federico II and from 2013 to 2016 associate researcher at CNR-IPSP (Sesto Fiorentino, FI). CA conducts studies in ecological disciplines, concerning researches on photosynthesis and morpho-functional adaptation strategies of higher plants in response to mono and multiple abiotic stresses in natural and anthropized ecosystems. She received the “Marchetti Prize” from the Italian Society of Ecology (SItE) and the first prize at the 1st Joint AgroSpace-MELiSSA Workshop. She is Editorial Board member for Frontiers in Plant Science and Plants and member of SItE, Federation of European Societies of Plant Biology, Society of Experimental Biology.
