Finizia Auriemma

Department of Chemical Sciences

Full Professor of Macromolecular and Industrial Chemistry at the University of Napoli Federico II. Author of more than 200 articles, h=44 (Scopus). Her research activity namely consists in the study of the relationships between the molecular structure and physical properties of polymers, using theoretical and experimental approaches. Her major contributions are: i) Study of partially disordered systems through theoretical approaches for predicting diffraction patterns; ii) Elucidation of stress-induced phase transitions of polymers through time resolved studies; iii) Study of the structure of new polymers and related disorder phenomena and of heterogeneous catalysts for polyolefin polymerization; iv) Polymer gels; v) Crystallization and polymorphic transformations of polymers under biases; vi) Fundamental studies of self-assembly of amorphous and crystalline block copolymers for their potential in many advanced technologies.
