Associate Professor of Entomology at the University of Milano (IT). From 1994 to 1995 she obtained a fellowship at the August Krogh Institute, University of Copenhagen (DK) to study water transport in absorbing epithelia. In 1999 she received a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Milano. Her research interests focus on the physiology of insect absorbing epithelia, the identification of new bio-inspied strategies for insect pest control, and the bioconversion of byproducts of the agri-food transformation chain by dipteran larvae.
