Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

Associate Professor in Plant Pathology at the University of Milan. Achieved a PhD in Biology and Productivity of Crop Plants at the same university.
Collaborations include projects with national and international partners with the aims of: devising new molecular assays for the reliable detection of quarantine and emerging plant pathogens; sequencing of bacterial genomes (Illumina, minIon, Nabsys) to identify genes involved in the mechanisms of pathogenesis and biocontrol; exploring the synthesis and utilization of dsRNA molecules active against plant pathogens (fungi, viruses); evaluating the effects of bacterial strains as plant-beneficial products, especially in the scope of Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture.
