Daniele D’Alonzo

Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche

Daniele D’Alonzo received his M.S. in Chemistry in 2003 and his Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences in 2007 from the University “Federico II” of Napoli. In 2007 he was visiting PhD student at the Rega Institute for Medical Research (Leuven, Belgium). He is now a researcher at the University of Napoli. His research interests are focused on the design and synthesis of artificial biomimetic agents, including glycomimetics, peptidomimetics, nucleoside analogues, synthetic oligonucleotides and protein models, with applications ranging from bioorganic and bioinorganic chemistry (catalysis, diagnostics) up to pharmaceutical chemistry (treatment of viral infections and rare genetic diseases).
