Researcher for 07/H3 scientific disciplinary sector VET/05 – Infectious Disease of Domestic Animals, at Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Production, University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy. In 2005, she received a PhD in Biology, Pathology and Environmental Hygiene in Veterinary Medicine (XVII cycle), at University of Naples Federico II. In collaboration with national and international research groups, she studies molecular processes involved in the replication of herpesviruses, and investigates the influence of dioxin, an environmental contaminant, in infectious diseases. Moreover, she studies the correlation between environmental pollutants and viruses in marine bivalves. Since 2018, she has had National Scientific Qualification to function as Associate Professor in Italian Universities for SSD VET/05. In 2012 she was awarded the Young Researchers Award as Research Fellow in the FORGIARE Project (Young Researcher). Editorial Board Member of Pathogens, MDPI.
