Associate Professor of Plant Pathology at the University of Turin and Researcher at the Center AGROINNOVA. In 2011 research fellowship at Cornell University, USA. From 2015 to 2018, Researcher at Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute, The Netherlands, and in 2018 Researcher at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. During the years spent abroad he was involved in research projects on fungal diseases of various fruit crops. From 2018 to 2021 he is Researcher at the University of Turin. He is mainly focusing on diagnosis and characterization of new pathogens of fruit, horticultural and ornamental crops; study of the genetic diversity and pathogenicity of fungal genera; wood diseases, with reference to the biology and epidemiology of the pathogens of apple and grapevine. He is an active member of the editorial board of several scientific journals.
