Professor of Biological and integrated insect control, for the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). She obtained, in 1989, the PhD in Agricultural Entomology at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy). She was a researcher at the CNR-Center for biological control techniques in Portici (NA) from 1989 to 1991. The field of study and research concerned: morpho-biological studies of native and invasive alien phytophagous insects; morpho-biological studies of native and allochthonous antagonistic insects; application studies in biological control programs with parasitoids and predators; systematic studies of Hymenoptera Chalcidoidea; studies for a low impact control of Bactrocera oleae by induction of dysbiosis with natural substances.
