Associate Professor in Physiology at the University of Naples Federico II. At the same University: i) since 2009 she is director of the Master in “Food Safety, Nutrition and Well-being”; ii) since 2010 she is board member of the school of specialization in “Food Sciences”; iii) since 2018 she is board member of the master class in “Dietetics and Human Nutrition” at the Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery. The research activity is mainly focused on the study of the regulatory mechanisms of the energy balance and of the cellular processes of energy transduction, with special attention dedicated to the metabolic relevance of the mitochondrial efficiency and free radical production both in physiological and pathological conditions.
