Professor of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II (Italy), where from 2014 he is Delegate of the Rector for the management of buildings. PhD in Sanitary Engineering and specialized in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering. His research activity is mainly focused on the application of biological processes for wastewater and organic solid waste treatment and on soil bioremediation. From 2004 to 2014 he was General Secretary of the Italian Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (ANDIS) and from 2014 to 2018 he was President of the Group of the Italian Professors of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (GITISA). From 2009 to 2019 he was the Coordinator of the Master Programme of Environmental Engineering. Actually, he is Member of the Committee on the Environmental Impact Assessment of the Italian Ministry of the Environment.
