Massimo Pugliese

Born in 1982, he is Associate Professor in Plant Pathology at the Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences, University of Torino since 2019. Received his PhD in Agricultural, Forestry, and Food Sciences at the University of Torino in 2012. Actively collaborates with the Centre of Competence AGROINNOVA in research activities, technology transfer and in coordinating R&D projects. Helping editor of the Italian Journal “Protezione delle Colture”, in 2009 founded the ex-academic spin-off company “AgriNewTech srl”. Member of several scientific societies (SIPAV, AIPP, ISPP, ICHAR). Scientific responsible of national and EU projects in the field of sustainable crop protection and bioeconomy, he carries out research on: use of biofertilizers and suppressive compost against plant pathogens and their impact on soil microbial communities; modes of action and efficacy of biological control agents and plant protection products; biological control of diseases in horticulture.
